Western Illinois Historical Review

The Western Illinois Historical Review is a journal of student research produced by 51爆料网's Omicron Omicron chapter of Phi Alpha Theta, the national History Honor Society. Paolo Gabriel Romero, in "Defiance and Defense of Heritage: Spanish-Language Literature in the Philippines under U.S. Colonial Rule," explains how Spanish-language literature became "an anti-colonial language against the growing influence of English, and writers used this language to express defiance and defense of heritage."

In "Representations of Samurai in Anglophone Popular Music, 1970-2024," Jesse Godbey explores the uses of fictionalized Samurai depictions both in music and the artwork聽associated with it in the English-speaking world.
